In recent years, Sri Lanka has faced significant economic challenges, leading to a substantial increase in poverty and unemployment.
The poverty rate escalated from 11.3% in 2019 to nearly 30% by 2023, resulting in widespread food insecurity affecting approximately one-third of the population. Despite these hardships, many young Sri Lankans are striving to improve their circumstances, demonstrating resilience and determination.
